What is In-House Insights?
A desktop application that lets you ask questions about your own data in plain language, in English, French, or Turkish, and get charts, tables, and explanations back in seconds. The AI writes the analysis code; your machine runs it. Your files, databases, and results never leave your control.
Where does my data actually go?
Nowhere. Data is read from your databases and files on your machine and processed there. Nothing is uploaded to Novastorms or to any cloud service. If you use a local AI model, the application works with no internet connection at all.
Then what does the AI provider see?
Only your question and a lightweight description of your data: column names, data types, and summary statistics. Never the rows themselves. Even the two sample values it can use are a setting you can switch off. With Ollama or LM Studio, not even that leaves the building.
What can I connect?
Spreadsheets and CSV files, including messy real-world ones the AI helps clean up on import. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and SQLite databases. PDF document libraries. Public open-data catalogs such as Socrata, Statistics Canada, the World Bank, and Kaggle.
Which AI models can I use?
Your choice: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, or xAI Grok with your own API keys, or a fully local model through Ollama or LM Studio. Switch at any time; nothing you have built needs to change.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes. One machine serves In-House Insights across your office network, and colleagues use it from their browsers with nothing to install. Admins approve each device, place it in a user group, and decide what that group can see, down to individual tables, dashboards, and reports.
Does every dashboard refresh cost AI credits?
No. The AI writes the analysis once. Dashboards, KPI boards, live monitors, and the team knowledge base then re-run that code on your machine on whatever schedule you set, with no further AI calls and no further cost.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After activation, saved analyses, dashboards, KPIs, and the team knowledge base all run without an internet connection. Pair it with a local AI model and new analyses run offline too.
How does licensing work?
There are no accounts and no license servers. You receive a signed license file, import it into the app, and it is verified on your machine. Renewing means importing an updated file. Nothing checks in with us.
What languages does it support?
The full application is available in English, French, and Turkish.
